The BKWA, along with contributions from The Orvis Company, helped fund this project which was completed in 2005. A USFS fisheries crew installed tree revetments and several large woody debris structures at the base of a large, eroding sand bank with the goal of stabilizing the bank, preventing future erosion, and providing additional fish cover/habitat. The project location is adjacent to the Manchester wastewater treatment plant. The streambank opposite the slide, owned by Orvis, was also planted with trees to help re-establish the riparian buffer zone.
