"Biological Assessments of Rivers and Streams in the Batten Kill Watershed" -- a special presentation by:

Steve Fiske, Aquatic Biologist, Vermont Water Quality Division

Date: Thursday, November 12th, 7pm

Location: Orvis Fly Fishing School, 4169 Rte 7A, Manchester, VT

This presentation will concern the biological integrity of the rivers and streams in the Batten Kill watershed in terms of the Benthic Macroinvertebrates. The photos above depict a mayfly, a stonefly and a caddis fly. These and other "Bugs of the Batten Kill" are a key component of the riparian ecosystem and the trout fishery. There will be a very brief business meeting to elect boardmembers, and refreshments will be served.
